CURRENT STATE · UPDATED AUG 2026
Now
What I'm working on as of August 26, 2026. I keep this short and update it only when the priorities change. Format borrowed from Derek Sivers.
Current
- Preparing for U of T. I start in September and intend to pursue the Applied Mathematics Specialist.
- reflexive-options. The current preprint package is ready for expert review. I am focused on tightening the measurement boundary, reproducibility, and the claims that survive the model's assumptions.
- Broker infrastructure. Maintaining kite-algo and the IBKR tooling in trading-algo, especially authentication, account snapshots, live-write authorization, reconciliation, and audit integrity.
- Open source. Continuing work around trading-engine correctness and portfolio statistics where there is a concrete upstream issue to solve.
Recently finished
- Presented Project Saoirse at the ISDC 2026 Saturday Gala Dinner after the team won the NSS contest Grand Prize.
- Completed the engine, order-management, risk, and persistence layers in kite-algo; the strategy layer remains deliberately separate from the broker repository.
Evidence boundary
The trading projects are personal research and infrastructure. I do not use private backtest returns as a public credential. The inspectable work is the code, tests, documentation, upstream reviews, and explicit limitations.
Next
- Get independent technical feedback on reflexive-options.
- Keep the broker tooling boring and reliable.
- Start university without pretending I can maintain five simultaneous priorities.
